Rockaway Township is a community with a population in excess of 25,000 people and is 45 square miles in area. Rockaway is approximately 32 miles from New York City.

The Rockaway Townsquare Mall, one of the State’s largest and modern shopping facilities is 3.1 miles from the site.

Rockaway Township students utilize five elementary schools, one middle school and two regional high schools. Students from Braemar at Rockaway would attend the Stony Brook Elementary school and the Copeland Middle School and Morris Knolls Regional High School. Morris County provides additional educational opportunities through the Morris County Vocational Technical High School and Morris County Community College, a highly accredited institution.

There are numerous houses of worship serving the Rockaway Township area.

Recreational facilities within the area include activities provided by local, county and state organizations, as well as private establishments. Lakes, golf courses, fishing areas, and parks are all within close proximity to Braemar at Rockaway.
